Well, I bought a new bike helmet and had some spare time.
So I decided to recreate it in high detail and put it in scene.
Based on a rough 3D scan, I created the model in Blender as a classic SubD mesh and then transferred it to Cinema 4D for the animation work. Here mainly vertex maps were used for the reveal sequence.
The smoke effects were made in Embergen. Finally everything was rendered with Redshift and the comp and color correction was done in Fusion and Resolve.
